2025 Annual Report
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ten years ago, Lasting Smiles Uganda began with a simple act of faith—children learning under a jack fruit tree. Today, because of you, it stands as a thriving community of hope, education, and transformation.
Ebenezer—thus far the Lord has helped us.
Your prayers, generosity, and commitment have enabled remarkable progress over the past decade. In 2025 alone, your partnership helped us keep children in school, provide two meals a day for 288 days, offer basic healthcare services, and improve teacher welfare through the construction of new staff accommodation.
As I sought the Lord for direction for the year ahead, I reflected on the many victories He has granted us—from expanding our land from 0.5 acres to 30 acres, to constructing permanent classroom blocks, teacher dormitories, and ensuring access to clean water. These milestones stand as a testimony to God's faithfulness.
Our journey, however, has not been without challenges. In the early years, inadequate classrooms, lack of meals, water scarcity, and unsafe travel to school posed significant risks to our children and staff. Yet, through God's grace and your partnership, LSU has emerged stronger.
Our theme for 2026, "Launching into the Deep" (Luke 5:4), calls us to step out in faith and obedience, trusting God to lead us beyond our comfort zones. The LSU vision is larger than any one individual—it requires collective faith, courage, and partnership.
On behalf of the Uganda Board and management team, I invite you to continue this journey with us and to bring along other vision partners. Together, we can transform thousands of lives and make generations smile.
